UH Cullen Theatre Troupe
For my Theatre Education Internship (THEA 2100) I am currently working to create a Middle School Theatre Troupe at a Middle School in the heart of the Third Ward.
I am excited to announce that the middle troupe will be held at Cullen Middle School starting the 2019-2020 school year. This relationship will allow us to serve students that currently do not have a theatre program while also allowing the students at the University of Houston to develop as teachers.
Topics to be taught at Cullen Middle School Theatre Troupe:
Movement
Projection
Working in an ensemble
Stage directions
Audience etiquette
Using the body as an instrument
Devising their own work
Working with scripted material
Proposal and Plan for Creating Cullen Theatre Troupe
