Cross-Curricular Theatre
Every year the UH Lantrip Theatre Club picks a topic outside of the theatre and integrate it into the entire curriculum as well as be the center of the devised piece that the students create for their Celebration of Learning.
This year the UH Lantrip Theatre Club focused on space and space exploration throughout the year. As you can see from my lesson plan to the left, the students were introduced to the book To the Stars! which discussed the first women to go to space and her journey since she was the age of the kids in the club. The students would use this book and their other knowledge of space from throughout the year to tell Kathy's story through a devised work that the students created with the help of the teachers.
